Learn English in Cornwall

About Skool Language Holidays Experiences

Skool is an English language school in St Agnes, Cornwall,
a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

English with Walking

Combine learning English in the morning, with walking or hiking in the afternoon. The entire Cornish peninsula is linked by hundreds of miles of maintained coast path, which makes some of the most striking and beautiful vistas accessible to walkers.

English with Water Sports

After English classes in our clifftop classroom at Wheal Kitty, take to the Atlantic Ocean. Our specialist water sports providers will instruct you in kayaking and surfing. You only need your spirit of adventure.

English with Art and Culture

We will guide you around Cornwall – a land steeped in beauty, art, myth and freedom. Each afternoon we will explore Cornwall, and we’ll curate its history and culture.  Explore ‘the road less travelled by’, and become a more confident communicator in English.

Where we are

Skool is situated in the historic remnants of an old tin mine’s engine house in Wheal Kitty next to St Agnes, a picturesque village on the north Cornwall coast which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A few steps from the classroom, magnificent granite cliffs mark the edge of the land and the beginning of the wild Atlantic Ocean.

St Agnes’ three pristine beaches – Trevaunance, Trevellas and Chapel Porth – are breathtaking and easily accessible. The village itself is a very pretty one and home to an eclectic range of boutique restaurants and English pubs, serving locally caught fish and Cornish ale and cider. St Agnes is a short car ride from Newquay airport and Truro train station. Its position and magical countryside make it a popular destination for discerning visitors, keen to escape the busy tourist traps.
