2025 has been a remarkable year at Skool Cornwall. We have welcomed many English language students to our beautiful context in St Agnes. We’ve made real connections, and I know I can speak for my colleagues when I say that teaching our clients is incredibly rewarding.
Looking back over the year in photographs, I can see so many moments filled with joy. There are countless individuals who have made a genuine impression on the team and on me. The year began in earnest in April, and here is one of the first groups to visit—this photo was taken at the Porthmeor Beach Café. The weather was astounding—almost like the Caribbean, with not a cloud in the sky—but above all, the connection and conversation were wonderful.

There are times I still can’t believe how lucky I am to work at Skool Cornwall. I meet so many incredible people, and I believe it’s down to our approach: small-group English courses designed specifically for adults, delivered in a beautiful Cornish village. When I look at the photographs of the year, I see so many smiling faces—people not only improving their English but giving themselves the time and space to learn. Above all, we are connecting through the English language.
On our socials and website, you’ll find pictures of cliff walks, coast-path adventures, and magical moments such as spotting a chough or watching seals at Mutton Cove. I believe English learning should be an experience. We shouldn’t rely solely on textbooks; we should learn by doing. When you join us for English immersion in Cornwall, you experience our culture, our landscape, and the real use of the language every single day. I don’t think there’s a better place to do that than St Agnes—with our little school on the cliffs and the Atlantic below us.
I’m incredibly grateful for our wonderful teachers, our guides, and especially our host families who open their homes. This year has shown again that adult-only English immersion, small classes of six, and cultural language experiences truly work.
To those who visited us in 2025: thank you for taking the chance to come. I hope you carry a little piece of Cornwall with you.
To those who have booked for 2026—or are thinking about it—I hope to meet you on the cliffs.
From all of us at Skool Cornwall, we wish you a very happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
